As a volunteer, you will:
-Assist visitors, students, and tours -Work on local history projects -Work at the Yanda Log Cabin -Sort collections items -Team up with landscaping staff at the museum or Yanda Log Cabin -Safeguard Glen Carbon's heritage for future generations
All volunteers must complete a background check through the Village of Glen Carbon.
Interns who work at the Heritage Museum gain hands-on experience and can apply their time for school credit!
Interns can choose from a number of projects, including:
-Organizing, digitizing, and preserving our photo collection -Inventorying, accessioning, and deaccessioning museum objects -Creating and performing public programs and community engagement initiatives -Organizing, planning, and installing exhibitions within the museum and other exhibition spaces
